Photographic Work Instructions

I am offering a package for businesses whereby, working with your own Production and Quality teams, I photograph key process steps and the product as it progresses through those steps - to compile an illustrated work instruction. With experience in Quality spanning 4 decades in industries ranging from injection moulding to alloy wheel manufacture to high-speed metal parts and PCB manufacture, I am uniquely qualified to provide a "turn-key" package of work instructions for your shopfloor staff. Used as training aids to ensure every person on every shift works in a standardised manner, these work instructions will be an investment in the future and, in my experience, reduce scrap and rework as well as improving the consistency of output across shifts.

The instruction below is an example of what you can expect and is based upon one I produced for one of my previous employers.

I would provide the template - via email to a contact within your business - and, whilst taking the photographs, record any specific Quality-related characteristics to be highlighted at the specific point in the process. Working on a computer within your business, I would then download the photographs and write the instruction for you. After discussion and/or amendment with your personnel, you will be left with a work instruction to use as a model for your own personnel to develop into a series of common and to eliminate opportunities for error.
